Green Bullets From Hell

Green Chile from Don Stevenson


INGREDIENTS:

3 pounds pork in small cubes.

1-2 poiunds beef in small cubes

2 yellow hot chiles

1 jalapeno pepper

1 can tomato sauce

5 cloves garlic, chopped fine.

1 teaspoon each of pepper & mustard.

2 tablespoons vinegar

1 yellow onion, diced or chopped.

2 bunches of green onions, slice up the whole head and stalk.

1 red bell pepper

1 tablespoon powdered cumin.

1 dash oregano.

3 tablespoons chili powder

2 teaspoons salt.

1-2 cans stewed tomatoes.

4 roasted and peeled fresh green chiles

or 2 cans whole green chiles.

1 can green chile salsa (mild or medium heat).

1/2 can beer. (do with the other half as you please).


METHOD:

Quick brown meats in skillet. Roast & peel chiles (if using fresh ones) and saute them with onions and garlic. Add green chile salsa. Bring to boil. Stir in all remaining ingredients and let cook over medium low heat (no need to boil) for an hour. Serve with tortillas, if you wish.
