Yellow Hot:

A variety of yellow pepper usually harvested at four to six inches long. Often mistaken for the banana chile, the Yellow Hot or Yellow Wax pepper has a hotter flavor and is a larger size. Also known as a Hungarian Wax pepper or chile, this pepper may have a hot flavor, but typically ranges from medium to hot. It is often served fresh in salads and salsas, or as a pickled appetizer. A similar stuffed food dish known as Chiles Rellenos, uses a milder pepper, such as an Anaheim. But if a more robust flavor is desired, the Yellow Wax chili pepper works well too.

The Yellow Hot chile pepper typically rates between 5,000 to 8,000 Scoville Units.
